## Programs for the Jacobians of curves of genus 2

The following programs are implementations of
the algorithms described in my paper:
"Canonical local heights and multiplication
formulas for the Jacobians of curves of genus 2,"
Acta Arith. 149, 111-130, (2011).

These programs are written in C++ and require the libraries
GiNaC and
CLN.

The first program also requires the
Boost C++ Libraries.

**Height bounds for the Jacobians of curves of genus 2**

This program computes the Archimedean contribution of
height bounds for the Jacobians of curves of genus 2
defined over the rational numbers. The algorithm used in
the program is based on a naive implementation of global
optimization using interval analysis.
**Canonical heights on the Jacobians of curves of
genus 2** (chg2.tar.gz

This program computes canonical heights on the Jacobians of
curves of genus 2 defined over the rational numbers.
